Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the late 1960s. Her stage experience began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. After that, she acted on Broadway for a number of shows up until the year of 1957 when Li'l Abner became huge at the National Theater. Also, she released her debut music album It's Time for Tina within the same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden from God's Big Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film received a crow's-foot of acclaim and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's teacher. She was able to land her next notable role when CBS hired her to play Ginger Grant. Louise played a wonderful performance juggling Broadway as well as Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark different characters, which contrasted with the glamour doll image she was perceived as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she's been making a distinction as a producer of several popular TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. The family that she was raised with moved away from Essex to Toronto which is where she spent her the majority of her childhood and teens. She settled in Vancouver after being selected to play Samantha Carter.
