Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed throughout the world of rock. Although the band did not make much progress in America however they became extremely popular in other countries. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford's solo career in heavy metal was successful after the 1979 band breakup. Following vocal training, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford disappeared from rock for several years after both albums failed to gain much popularity. In 1988, she came back to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became big success. However, her success was short-lived and she remained absent from the world of music for several decades. She re-emerged when she released 'Black' in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland nearly 15 years after. The year was 2016, and her most recent album, 'Timecapsule', was made available. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
